Playa Encuentro is an amazing place for surfing with consistent waves that range in size: small whitewater for beginners to frequent overhead waves for experienced. Robert on the Pauhana team taught me how to ride on day 1 and by day 3 I was in the “line up”. So friendly, knowledgeable and great communication. I can’t wait to come back.

Had a great time with Pauhana! Chepe is a great guy and is a pillar in this community. Communicative, supportive, and understanding of all levels, I could not recommend this place enough! I rented a board for a month and got some lessons, I deff. improved during my time with him!

Skvělá surfová škola s velmi přátelskou a pohodovou atmosférou. Instruktoři jsou trpěliví, vnímaví a opravdu vědí, co dělají. Neustále sledují, dávají konkrétní rady a člověk má pocit, že jim záleží na tom, aby se surfování opravdu naučil a užil si ho. Můj první instruktor mluvil pouze španělsky a já španělsky neumím, ale vůbec to nevadilo. I bez společného jazyka mi dokázal všechno srozumitelně ukázat a v klidu mě naučit základy surfování. To jen potvrzuje jejich zkušenosti a profesionalitu. Doporučuji všemi deseti. Tip: boty do vody se dají půjčit, ale pokud máte vlastní, které vám dobře sedí, určitě se budou hodit.

Great surf rental at Playa Encuentro! Nice equipment and competitive prices compared to other places in the area. You can rent solid boards for really reasonable money. Chepe and the whole crew are awesome people — super friendly, open and easygoing. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Unfortunately, heavy rain on our last day made it impossible for us to surf and properly say goodbye, but we just want to say thank you for everything and send a big high five to Chepe and the team! 🤙🌊 Karolina (Maria!) & Eryk from Poland 🙂

Our hotel arraigned for surf lessons for our family of 4. First time lessons for both. Owner, staff and instructors were knowledgeable and fun and local! And they have sweet beach dogs that you may get to see which is an added bonus for me. Great value, great people, thanks for the into to surfing! Thought I would add the gear and boards we used were in well used condition. Foam learner boards. This seemed great for absolute beginners
